30 june 2020 - Opole, Teligi St. Concrete monument behind the bus stop dates back to year 1934. It commemorated german World War I victims from Malina. Back then it was standalone village, now part of Opole. After World War II monument was repurposed to commemorate soviet soldiers. In the year 2018 all inscriptions referring to Russians were sanded down.

24 october 2018 - Opole, Friendship Av. Picture 1/2 of 527 that day. Route of line 14 is somewhat U-shaped. It takes over 9 kilometers beetwen this site and Wschodnia 23 terminus. However, it`s less then 3 kilometers in straight line. So I decided to take advantage of this fact and took second photo there. And I didn`t even break a sweat using my bicycle :)

15 june 2018 - Opole, Traugutta Street. Will there be a second life for this former office building seen on the left side of the picture? These are basically the last remains of Groszowice Cement Plant. It`s downfall came in 1997 when infamous flooding destroyed one of its quarries. Subsequently production ceased in 1999. Actual plant was demolished in later years.

1 june 2018 - Opole, ul. Księdza Popiełuszki.Jest dobrze po południu, pierwszy czerwca. Lato już jakiś czas temu przyzwyczaiło Cię, że nadchodzi już w kwietniu, dlatego nie dziwi Cię kolejny upalny dzień. Jest 31° w cieniu, stoisz w polu, w pełnym słońcu, marzysz tylko o prysznicu. Widzisz przed sobą poniemieckie zabudowania stacji Opole Groszowice oraz piękne, szafirowe niebo. Stacja, choć wciąż węzłowa, nie ma już takiego znaczenia jak kiedyś, kolor nieba natomiast świadczy o tym, że gdzieś tam w oddali szaleje żywioł. Wciąż czekasz na czternastkę, która miała tu być już 6 minut temu, ale nie wiesz o której się pojawi i czy w ogóle — ma wyłączony odbiornik GPS. Nagle zerwał się lekki wiaterek, nagle przestały jeździć samochody, nagle pojawia się Scania. Celujesz, strzelasz, masz ją. Odchodzisz z satysfakcją. Później, przy obróbce, uświadamiasz sobie, że te wozy mają już dziesięć lat i, po fali hejtu jaka się na nie przelewała przez te lata, nadal uważasz, że to dobre wozy.
